Masculine Interiors

Guy Spaces

David has a unique skill set and talent for creating “Guy spaces”.An Ardent Anglophile, David loves BBC anything, Horses, Dogs, and a good Murder Mystery. “Masculine Interiors are not always traditional, a Modern Space can be quite Masculine as long as it’s Carefully Curated, Mixes in some Leather with Traditional Suiting fabrics, and is Executed with Modern Elegance and Great Taste! “

While studying for his B.A. in History & Art History, something that David unexpectedly learned in College was house remodeling. The fraternity house that David lived in underwent a gut to the studs and rebuild of two bathrooms and a kitchen, all completed by he and his brothers. David selected flooring, wall-coverings, and fixtures “up-cycled a claw foot bathtub” and supervised installation of cabinets, counters, and dry wall. Rooms were opened up, walk in bars created, and hardwood floors sanded and stained.

David is an active member of The University Club, Denver. He was instantly drawn to the comfortable masculine rooms, the paneling, the fireplaces, the well stocked bar. “ I feel most at home in traditional pubs and private clubs”, David explains “There is nothing like sharing a meal or a drink with friends next to a crackling fire on a cold or rainy day. The sound of billiards or squash being played in the distance or putting on black tie for a long table dinner, these kind of things nourish the traditional guy’s soul!”

“ I take inspiration for Masculine Interiors from the classic Men’s Wardrobe… Paisley ties, tartan plaid shirts, tweed sportscoats, grey flannel pants, fair isle sweaters, even a leather bomber jacket ”. Likewise, pulling in Play is an important aspect of telling a gentleman’s story. Whether it’s sports, outdoors pursuits, or fast cars.. men love to play, and pulling in those activities through photography and equipment is another aspect of Guy Spaces.”
